Hi there and thanks for checking out my blog!
You’re probably here because you’re wondering who is this Matt Stengel guy and/or why in the hell is he so interested in advertising? Well, here’s my best crack at answering those questions.
First off, I’m a hardworking and curious 20-something advertising professional who grew up in the “Land of 10,000 Lakes” (a.k.a Minnie-sooo-tah). After living in the “The Windy City” (a.k.a Chicago) for a year I recently moved back to the Twin Cities to take a job at one of the premiere agencies in Minneapolis. When I’m not geeking out about advertising, I like to spend my time blogging, playing sports, fishing, hunting, hanging out with friends and family and going to Twins, Vikings and Gopher games.
My interest in advertising and brand storytelling started as a young teen in part to my fascination with TV commercials and their unique ability to draw out powerful emotions in people. Since these early years, I’ve continued to cultivate my passion for advertising by constantly trying to learn as much as I can about the craft of advertising, relationship building and storytelling. In doing so, I hope to use this knowledge to better help the brands I work with. I enjoy working in advertising because it allows me to work collaboratively with other curious and creative people such as myself who are driven to help brands develop creative and engaging solutions that effectively connect with people and further the brands’ story.
I started my Brandtastic Ideas blog because I wanted to express my passion for advertising and have a way to talk about brands that I think are doing great things in the world of advertising. I’m always looking for opportunities to connect and learn and would love to talk with you about advertising, branding, sports or whatever it is you’re passionate about. Interested? Comment on my blog or visit my connect page and choose from my list of contact addresses.
I look forward to talking with you!
